Your adventure begins from the cruise port with our Dolphin Watching Tour (as described on our website), followed by a continuation of the journey for an incredible whale watching experience.

The departure time depends on the season. During the summer months, we depart at approximately 4:20 AM.

Whale Watching in Mauritius

The magnificent humpback whales, considered part of the living natural heritage of the Vanilla Islands, migrate from Antarctica to the waters around Mauritius during the local winter season to give birth to their calves in the Indian Ocean.

It is always a breathtaking experience when mother and calf rise together from the depths of the ocean. On many occasions, we are only a few metres away, allowing you to witness these incredible moments in their natural environment.

After several dozen whale encounters near the coast of Mauritius in recent years, we have decided to offer this special whale watching experience to our guests on a regular basis.

We travel by a fast and comfortable boat—the 26 ft Legend Regulator (built November 2022)—with a maximum of 6–8 guests, ensuring a personal and exclusive experience.

During the approximately 3.5-hour tour, we provide light snacks and drinks on board.

Please note that whale sightings depend entirely on nature and wildlife behaviour. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that whales will be spotted during the tour.

Tour Availability:

• Sperm whale watching: Available all year round

• Humpback whale watching: Available from June to October
