You will be picked up from the cruise port at 8:10 AM.

With its 11 waterfalls, 13 abseiling points, deep natural pools, cliff jumps, and lush tropical vegetation, the Tamarin Waterfalls, also known as the 7 Cascades, are among the most spectacular natural attractions in Mauritius.

Your adventure begins directly at the starting point of the trail. During this scenic hike, you will enjoy three magnificent viewpoints. Following a small path, you will reach the first plateau overlooking the waterfalls. The trail then continues along the cliffs, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the entire 7 Cascades. For the more adventurous hikers, the trail leads to the famous “Bout du Monde” (End of the World), where you can enjoy a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the west coast of the island, as if looking through a giant natural window.

The 7 Cascades, commonly known as the Tamarin Falls, are located near the small village of Henrietta on the western plateau of Mauritius and are fed by the source of the Tamarin River. With a total height of 293 metres (961 feet), they form the highest waterfall system in Mauritius.

This peaceful and enchanting location is home to a wide variety of exotic plants and native bird species. Part of the river is also used to generate hydroelectric power. Although some sections of the hike can be quite challenging, the stunning scenery makes every step worthwhile. Birdwatchers and nature lovers alike will thoroughly enjoy this unforgettable walk through one of Mauritius’ most beautiful natural landscapes.

The guided hike lasts approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
