Dolphin & Highlight Tour
Experience the unforgettable Mauritius Combo Tour with Bakadi Dreams, combining an early morning dolphin adventure with a scenic island tour to Mauritius’ most famous natural and cultural attractions.
Your excursion begins directly from the cruise port. Departure time depends on the season; during the summer months, we leave at approximately 4:20 AM.
We start the day with our Early Morning Dolphin Tour, as described on our website, where you have the opportunity to observe wild dolphins in their natural habitat during the quietest hours of the morning.
Discover the Best of Mauritius
After the dolphin tour, your island adventure begins.
Together with your English-speaking guide, you will discover some of the island’s most beautiful and important sights aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned coach.
Trou aux Cerfs – The Extinct Volcano
Our first stop is Trou aux Cerfs, the island’s famous extinct volcanic crater, located in the heart of the town of Curepipe.
Situated at an elevation of approximately 650 metres, the crater is around 300 metres in diameter and was formed millions of years ago when the volcano was still active.
From the viewing platform, you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views across much of Mauritius.
Grand Bassin (Ganga Talao)
Next, we visit Grand Bassin (Ganga Talao), the most important Hindu pilgrimage site in Mauritius and one of the most significant outside India.
Located in the Savanne District, this sacred crater lake lies approximately 550 metres above sea level and is surrounded by temples and impressive statues of Hindu deities.
At the entrance stands the magnificent 33-metre-high statue of Lord Shiva, the tallest statue in Mauritius.
Black River Gorges National Park
We then continue through the beautiful Black River Gorges National Park, stopping at the famous viewpoints overlooking Alexandra Falls and the spectacular Black River Gorge.
This national park protects one of the oldest remaining native rainforests in Mauritius and is home to a remarkable variety of endemic plants and wildlife.
Along the way, you will enjoy breathtaking scenery, lush forests, and spectacular waterfalls cascading hundreds of metres into the valleys below.
Chamarel Waterfall & Seven Coloured Earth
Of course, no visit to southern Mauritius would be complete without seeing the impressive Chamarel Waterfall and the world-famous Seven Coloured Earth, one of the island’s most remarkable geological attractions.
Nearby, we also stop at the stunning La Kaz Viewpoint, offering magnificent views over the surrounding landscape.
Depending on timing and visitor numbers, we may visit Chamarel earlier in the tour to provide you with a quieter and more enjoyable experience.
After this unforgettable combination of marine wildlife, spectacular scenery, and cultural highlights, we will return you comfortably to your cruise ship.
Estimated return to the cruise port: approximately 1:00 PM.
