Lisbon
Lisbon shore excursions with Bakadi Dreams open up one of the most convenient cruise ports in Europe. Indeed, ships tie up centrally on the Tejo, often right below the old town. Moreover, the lanes of the Alfama begin almost at the terminal, while the landmarks of Belem are a short drive away. As a result, we tailor every tour to your time in port.
From Belem to the Alfama
In Belem stand the icons of a seafaring nation: the Jeronimos Monastery and the Torre de Belem, both UNESCO World Heritage, along with the Monument to the Discoveries. Right beside them, the Pasteis de Belem have been baked to the same recipe since 1837. The Alfama, the oldest quarter, largely survived the 1755 earthquake, with its narrow lanes, washing lines and fado houses. Above all, the famous tram 28 climbs through it up to the Castelo de Sao Jorge.
Good to Know in Lisbon
Lisbon is built on seven hills, and the pavement is polished smooth. Therefore, sturdy, non-slip shoes are a good idea. Payment is in euro, cards are accepted almost everywhere, and the climate is mild even in winter. Finally, our small groups keep the pace relaxed.
