The rock carvings of Alta are up to 7,000 years old and were listed by UNESCO in 1985. At the World Heritage Rock Art Centre, wooden walkways lead past hundreds of figures. Above all, the surrounding landscape changes dramatically with the seasons, from autumn colours to deep snow.
