Anaga, Taganana & Pico del Inglés

This tour heads into the Anaga mountains in the north-east, the greenest corner of Tenerife. Indeed, the range is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and feels a world away from the resorts. Moreover, it lies close to the port, so little time is lost travelling.

Laurel Forest and Mountain Villages

The road climbs into ancient laurel forest, a relic of the woodland that once covered southern Europe. Mist drifts through the trees, and ferns cover the ground. Afterwards, the village of Taganana appears below, terraced into the slope above the sea. Above all, the viewpoint at Pico del Inglés opens across the whole range to the Teide beyond.
