Across Sand and Dry Riverbeds

After a briefing the convoy leaves the coast behind and heads inland along desert tracks. The buggies cross open sand flats and wind through dry riverbeds between rocky outcrops. Regular stops give time for photographs and a break from the dust. Above all, a visit to a Bedouin camp adds a quieter contrast to the driving, with tea served in the shade.
