Jeep Safari with BBQ

This safari takes you into the golden dunes of Abu Dhabi and on into the sunset. Indeed, pick-up is at around 15:30 in front of the ship. Moreover, the drive to the desert takes roughly thirty minutes.

Dunes, Camp and Barbecue

After a short stop to let air from the tyres, the dune driving begins, a controlled roller-coaster across the ridges. Afterwards, the convoy reaches a desert camp as the sun goes down behind the dunes. There you can ride a camel, try sandboarding or simply sit with a coffee while dinner is prepared. Above all, the barbecue is served in the open, with traditional music and dance to follow.

Evening in the Desert

The desert changes character completely as the sun goes down. Indeed, the heat falls away quickly once the light does, and by nightfall a jacket is welcome. The dunes turn from yellow through orange to deep red in the last half hour of daylight. Moreover, away from the city there is almost no light pollution, so the stars come out in numbers most visitors never see at home. Above all, the camps are set up in the traditional Bedouin manner with carpets, low seating and open fires, which makes the evening feel like more than a staged show.
