Wadi Rum
This excursion takes you into the red desert of the Wadi Rum, famous from the story of Lawrence of Arabia. Indeed, pick-up is at around 09:00 at the port of Aqaba. Moreover, the drive to the visitor centre takes about an hour.
By Jeep Through Sandstone and Granite
After a short break at the visitor centre, Bedouin drivers take over and lead the way into the desert by four-wheel drive. The rock walls here are sandstone and granite, weathered into towers, bridges and arches above deep red sand. Since 2011 the 740-square-kilometre area has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Above all, the drivers leave the marked tracks, so you see corners that most visitors never reach.
