From Madina Mayurqa to the Ciutat de Mallorca
Palma has lived several lives. The Roman foundation became Madina Mayurqa under Moorish rule, and after the conquest of 1229 the Christian city known today as the Ciutat de Mallorca. Those layers are still visible: in the run of the streets, in remains of walls, in the Arab baths.
