Fuerteventura
What there is to see on Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is the oldest and emptiest of the Canary Islands, and the one that looks least like the others. There are no pine forests and no high peaks, just long ochre ridges, volcanic cones and more than a hundred and fifty beaches. Ships dock at Puerto del Rosario, from where the whole island is within reach: the dunes of Corralejo in the north, the fishing village of El Cotillo, the goat-cheese country and windmills around Antigua and Betancuria, the old island capital tucked into a valley inland, and the vast pale sands of the Jandia peninsula in the south.
Our own Fuerteventura excursions are in preparation and will be published on this page. In the meantime we arrange private tours on the island on request, from an island crossing with beach and village stops to a shorter half-day drive when your ship leaves early.
Send us the name of your vessel and your hours ashore and we will put together a Fuerteventura itinerary with a fixed price. You travel privately with an English-speaking guide in an air-conditioned vehicle, collected at the port and returned there with time to spare.
Shore excursions for Fuerteventura are coming soon. Please check back later or contact us for more information.
