Masca, Punta de Teno & Garachico

This tour explores the wild west of Tenerife, from a mountain village to a lighthouse on a remote headland. Indeed, the Teno region is among the oldest and least developed parts of the island. Moreover, the scenery changes dramatically along the way.

Ravines, Lighthouse and Lava Pools

The village of Masca lies deep in a ravine, reached by a narrow road of tight bends with views over the valley at every turn. Afterwards, the road runs out to Punta de Teno, the westernmost point, where a lighthouse stands above the surf with the cliffs of Los Gigantes behind. Finally, Garachico shows what a lava flow can do: the harbour was destroyed in 1706, and the cooled lava now forms natural sea pools.
