Santo Domingo – City Tour with Bakadi Dreams

Discover Santo Domingo, the oldest city in the New World and the capital of the Dominican Republic, on this cultural city tour.
This excursion is perfect for anyone who wants to experience local culture and history during their vacation.
With around 3 million inhabitants, Santo Domingo is the largest city in the country.

We pick you up at approximately 8:30 AM at the La Romana port and transfer you in a comfortable air-conditioned minibus for about 1 hour 40 minutes to Santo Domingo.

Our first stops include Columbus’ House, the National Palace, and the impressive Cathedral.
Afterwards, you’ll have 1 hour of free time in the pedestrian area “El Conde”, the lively heart of the Colonial Zone – perfect for shopping or a relaxing stroll through the city.

Next, we drive along the Malecón, the famous waterfront promenade, to the Presidential Palace for a photo stop.
We then visit Los Tres Ojos, a fascinating cave system with three stunning limestone lagoons.

On the way back, we stop at the Faro a Colón (Columbus Lighthouse and tomb), one of Santo Domingo’s landmarks.
This impressive cross-shaped building measures 240 meters long, 34 meters wide, and 46 meters high – an ideal photo opportunity.

Finally, we return to the port, arriving around 2:00 PM, and ensure you are safely back on your cruise ship.

Upon request, after the official city tour (between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM), an optional visit to Boca Chica Beach can be arranged for an additional $10 per person, including guide and transfers.
