Catamaran Cruise Blue Bay & Ile aux Cerfs

Experience an unforgettable catamaran cruise with Bakadi Dreams as you sail along the spectacular southeast coast of Mauritius, from Mahebourg towards Trou d’Eau Douce, surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery and crystal-clear turquoise waters.

Your driver will pick you up from the cruise port at 7:45 AM.

From there, you will travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach to Blue Bay in the southeast of Mauritius, where your catamaran awaits.

We set sail from Pointe d’Esny at approximately 9:00 AM, cruising for around 1.5 hours along the beautiful east coast towards Île aux Cerfs.

Grand River South East Waterfall

Our first stop is the picturesque Grand River South East Waterfall.

As the waterfall is located at the mouth of the river, its appearance varies depending on the tide and weather conditions. Sometimes we can approach quite closely, while at other times we view it from a greater distance.

For safety reasons, our large catamaran no longer enters the narrow river passage. Due to increased boat traffic and congestion near the waterfall, we have chosen to focus on providing a relaxed sailing experience instead.

With a little luck, you may spot Mauritian flying foxes (fruit bats) and even monkeys in the surrounding trees. One thing is guaranteed—you will enjoy the beautiful waterfall set amidst lush tropical vegetation.

Afterwards, we return to the catamaran and continue sailing towards Île aux Cerfs, where we spend approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Take time to explore the island and wander away from the busiest areas. Just a short walk is enough to discover secluded lagoons, quiet beaches, and some of the island’s most beautiful scenery.

After returning to the catamaran at around 1:00 PM, the crew will have prepared a delicious barbecue lunch. Sit back, relax, and enjoy great food and refreshing drinks while taking in the spectacular surroundings.

Following lunch, we sail back towards Mahebourg. If currents and sea conditions permit, we will stop at one of the area’s beautiful snorkelling spots, where you can discover Mauritius’ colourful marine life.

In the afternoon, we continue sailing through the stunning lagoon of Pointe d’Esny before returning to shore.

• Duration: Approximately 6 hours

• Minimum participants: 12 adults

If the minimum number of 12 participants is not reached, you will automatically be rebooked onto our East Coast Catamaran Cruise. Should you prefer not to join the alternative tour, you may cancel your booking free of charge.
