The mystical crater lake Ganga Talao (Grand Bassin) is surrounded by impressive statues of Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga, making it a place of deep spirituality, fascinating traditions, and ancient legends.

💦 Alexandra Falls – Nature at Its Finest

The Alexandra Falls are among the most beautiful viewpoints in Black River Gorges National Park. Surrounded by lush rainforest, the waterfall cascades gracefully into the valley below, creating a spectacular natural setting.

From the viewing platform, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views across the green valleys all the way to the coastline—an ideal location for unforgettable photographs and a peaceful moment immersed in nature.

🌄 Black River Gorges National Park – Spectacular Panoramic Views

At the Alexandra Falls viewpoint, you will experience stunning views over the untouched landscapes of Black River Gorges National Park. On clear days, you can admire much of Mauritius’ southern coastline as well as the island’s highest mountain peaks.

🌋 Chamarel – Natural Wonders & Local Specialities

Visit the world-famous Seven Coloured Earth, one of Mauritius’ most remarkable geological wonders, as well as the impressive Chamarel Waterfall.

If you wish, we can also stop at the local rum distillery, where you can enjoy an optional rum tasting.

Lunch will be served either in Chamarel or at the beautiful Le Morne Beach, depending on the weather conditions.

From there, we continue to the south coast, where we will stop for a refreshing swim if weather conditions permit.

Please bring dry clothes to change into after swimming.

Afterwards, we will return you comfortably to your cruise ship or accommodation.
