Serra de Tramuntana Guided Day Tour

The Serra de Tramuntana runs for 90 kilometres along the north-west coast and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011 – not as a natural landscape but as a cultural one: the terraces, dry-stone walls and water channels were built into the mountain by hand over centuries. This day tour takes you right through it.

Valldemossa and the Charterhouse

We start in Valldemossa, stroll through the cobbled lanes and see the birthplace of Santa Catalina Thomàs. At the Charterhouse we visit the gardens and hear the story of the place made famous by the winter stay of Chopin and George Sand. A tasting of coca de patata is part of it.

The Lledoner and Na Foradada Viewpoints

We continue through the mountain landscape to the Lledoner viewpoint and then on to Na Foradada – the rocky spur with its distinctive hole, reaching far out into the sea. The view from there over the rugged coast is one of the most impressive on the island.

Sóller – the Valley of Oranges

Sóller lies in a basin full of orange and lemon groves. Walking through the old town you notice the unusual mixture: traditional Mallorcan architecture next to Catalan Art Nouveau. The highlight is the parish church of Sant Bartomeu on the main square, along with the elegant Calle Luna and the historic railway station, from which the old wooden train runs to Palma.

Port de Sóller – Lunch by the Water

To finish we drive down to the harbour of Sóller, the only natural harbour on the north-west coast. Here you can stroll along the water and enjoy a relaxed lunch in a selected restaurant. The running order is flexible: on request we reverse it, drive to the harbour first, eat there and explore the town of Sóller afterwards. Just tell your guide.
