Doha
Doha shore excursions with Bakadi Dreams explore the capital of Qatar on the Persian Gulf. Indeed, oil exports that began under the British protectorate in 1949 laid the foundation of the country’s wealth. Moreover, most of that investment has flowed into the capital, which is why the skyline has grown so dramatically.
Souq Waqif and West Bay
The Souq Waqif is the heart of old Doha, rebuilt in traditional style with mud-rendered walls and wooden beams. Spices, textiles and falcons are traded in its lanes, and the coffee houses stay busy late into the evening. Across the bay, the towers of West Bay form one of the most striking skylines in the Gulf. Above all, the Corniche promenade links the two along seven kilometres of waterfront.
City and Inland Sea
Beyond the city, the desert leads to Khor Al Adaid, the inland sea, where dunes run directly down into salt water. It is one of very few places on earth where that happens, and the drive there crosses high dune fields. Therefore, our two tours cover the city on one hand and the desert on the other. Finally, please note that our partner may not collect guests directly at the ship, so a shuttle to the meeting point can be necessary.
