Dubai by Night

This evening tour shows Dubai when the city glows with thousands of lights. Indeed, the modern quarters take on an entirely different character after dark. Moreover, pick-up is at around 20:30 at the cruise terminal exit.

The City in Light

The route follows the illuminated skyline from the Marina to Downtown, where the Burj Khalifa is lit from base to spire. At its foot the dancing fountains perform to music every half hour, throwing water 150 metres into the air. Along the way, the Burj Al Arab changes colour on its own light show. Above all, the warm evening air makes this the most pleasant time of day to be out in Dubai.

The City After Sunset

Evenings are when Dubai comes alive. Indeed, for much of the year the daytime heat keeps people indoors, so shops, restaurants and promenades fill up only after dark. Families walk the waterfront well past midnight, and the malls stay busy until late. Moreover, the buildings are designed with night in mind: the Burj Khalifa carries an LED facade, the Burj Al Arab cycles through colours, and the fountains perform every half hour. Above all, temperatures drop to something genuinely pleasant, which makes an evening tour far more comfortable than a midday one.
