Jebel Harim Mountain Safari
This half-day safari climbs to Jebel Harim, the highest peak of the Musandam peninsula. Indeed, the name means Mountain of Women, from the days when local women withdrew to the heights while the men were away. Moreover, the tour runs either at 08:15 or at 13:15.
Up to Two Thousand Metres
A four-wheel drive carries you up a winding mountain road with views that open further at every bend. Along the way, fossils of marine creatures can be found in the rock, evidence that these mountains once lay beneath the sea. Small mountain villages and terraced fields appear where water allows. Above all, from near the summit at around 2,000 metres the whole peninsula and the Gulf lie below you.
