Watch and photograph flamingos, pelicans, and many other waterbirds in one of southern Africa’s most important breeding and resting areas – a true highlight for bird lovers and photographers alike.

🧂 Drive Past the Salt Fields to Pelican Point

We continue past the shimmering pink salt pans to Pelican Point, where the historic lighthouse and a massive colony of around 50,000 Cape fur seals await.

🛶 Unique Kayaking Experience with Seals

Hop into one of our stable, easy-to-steer kayaks and gently paddle through the lagoon – surrounded by playful seals and fascinating birdlife.
No previous experience is required – this aventure is perfect for everyone!

Around 12:00 PM, we head to the legendary dune landscape of Sandwich Harbour.

Driving along the Atlantic coast and through towering sand dunes, we arrive at the spectacular spot where the ocean meets the sea of sand.
In this secluded lagoon, you’ll learn exciting facts about the unique nature and history of the area.

🦓 Wildlife Encounters

With a bit of luck, we may spot jackals, oryx antelopes, springboks, or even ostriches – a true wilderness experience!

🚐 Return to the Port

After a day full of unforgettable impressions, we return you to your ship in Walvis Bay around 4:00 PM.
