Schotia Big Five Safari with Overnight Stay

The Schotia Private Game Reserve is one of the best known reserves in the Eastern Cape, above all because of its exceptionally high chance of good wildlife sightings. Indeed, at around 2,000 hectares it is noticeably smaller than many others. Moreover, this safari is bookable only from Port Elizabeth, and children of any age are welcome.

Small Reserve, Close Encounters

Because the animals move within a compact area, encounters tend to be closer and more frequent than in the vast reserves. Schotia is particularly known for its lion population and for the sheer number of animals seen on a single drive. Accommodation is in lodge rooms or in a tented camp, both set within the reserve itself. Above all, dinner is served in a traditional open-sided boma around a fire.
