Jeep Safari in Eilat
Experience an adventurous jeep safari in Eilat with Bakadi Dreams. The tours start in the morning at around 09:00 at the port, and there are two four-hour routes to choose from: the Red Canyon, or Timna Park.
Four-Hour Jeep Safari to the Red Canyon
Following the tracks of pilgrims and old trade routes you get to know some of the finest highlights of the Eilat nature reserve. Right at the start of our off-road adventure we reach the highest peaks above Eilat, from which we enjoy breathtaking views into the Great African Rift Valley – the Arava valley and the Red Sea are part of this geological fault – and across to Jordan, Egypt and as far as Saudi Arabia. At the Red Canyon we set off on foot through the windings of the canyon: coloured sandstone, conglomerates, limestone, desert plants and desert animals leave a lasting impression. The walk takes a little over an hour and is suitable for children who are not too small. We stop for refreshments with Bedouin-style tea and water.
Four-Hour Jeep Safari to Timna Park
On this four-hour jeep tour you get to know the ancient sites and impressive rock formations of Timna Park and discover the canyons of the southern Negev and the Arava valley. The Timna valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The copper mines in the valley are around 6,000 years old and among the very first copper mines anywhere. The copper deposits drew a wide range of cultures to Timna.
