Agadir Grand City Tour

Agadir Oufella – the View over the Bay
We begin at the top. The historic kasbah of Agadir Oufella sits high above the city. From here you take in Agadir, the harbour and the endless Atlantic coast at a single glance – the best opening and the best photographs of the day.
Swiss Quarter and Talborjt
We continue through the Swiss Quarter to Talborjt, one of the older districts. After the severe earthquake of 1960 much of Agadir was rebuilt – in Talborjt you see how the city’s history and its present-day life come together.
The Grand Mosque
One stop takes us to the Grand Mosque. Its architecture gives a good impression of modern Islamic building style and of what the mosque means to the city.
Souk El Had – Colours, Scents and Everyday Life
The Souk El Had is Agadir’s great traditional market and the liveliest part of the tour: spices, textiles, handicrafts and regional specialities – and, in the middle of it all, ordinary Moroccan daily life.
La Médina by Coco Polizzi
Afterwards we visit La Médina, an artfully laid-out museum village in traditional Berber style. Hand-crafted buildings and Moroccan artisan work bring the atmosphere of a historic medina back to life.
The Atlantic Promenade to Finish
Finally we head to the beach promenade: time for a walk, a coffee or simply a moment by the water, before we drive back to the ship at an easy pace.
