On Safari in Addo Elephant National Park – with Bakadi Dreams

Join us for an unforgettable adventure in the world-renowned Addo Elephant National Park, one of the most impressive wildlife reserves in South Africa – located just about an hour north of Port Elizabeth.

Our full-day excursion begins at 8:30 AM from the Port Elizabeth harbor (adjusted to your ship’s docking schedule).
Around 9:30 AM, we arrive at the park entrance and make a short stop at the main camp.

Then it’s time to head out on our first game drive:
In open, roofed safari vehicles, we explore the African wilderness together with an experienced ranger.

During the approximately 2-hour game drive, we’ll try to spot elephants, lions, antelopes, African buffaloes, warthogs, jackals, and many other animals up close.

Addo Elephant National Park is truly unique – the only park in the world that is home to the Big 7: Elephant, Rhinoceros, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Great White Shark, and Southern Right Whale.

Over 650 elephants roam the park in more than 50 herds – a breathtaking natural spectacle.

After a relaxed lunch, we continue our safari in a closed vehicle, focusing on observing the animals at the waterholes – especially the fascinating social behavior of elephants as they gather to cool off and drink.

Around 5:00 PM, we return to the ship – filled with memories of an extraordinary day in the South African wilderness.
